This week working with Elizabeth Lau was really exciting, we started the week by visiting the ASOS head office in Greater London House. The building was amazing from the outside but also on the inside, it was so light, open with a great working atmosphere. Elizabeth asked me to come along to the meeting to take photographs of the offices and her meeting with one of the ASOS buyers. The meeting was about a collection of jumpers Elizabeth is in the process of making for ASOS. The meeting went very well and we were so impressed with the building and ASOS offices that the buyer, Amanda gave us a tour. I was so grateful Elizabeth took me to the meeting with her, I really value the opportunity to visit the offices and was so inspired by the building and atmosphere in the office that I would be interested to one day work for ASOS, helping put together their monthly magazine. This week I also organised for models to come for a casting for a photo shoot for a possible t-shirt design. This didn’t go as well as expected as from the 8 models that had confirmed to come for a casting only 2 came. This was really disappointing as I thought most models would be professional enough to show up. However I did enjoy looking through the models portfolio. On Thursday I spent the day working with model Ellie from Nevs model agency. In the morning I shot her wearing Elizabeths vintage and second hand clothing for sale, and in the afternoon shot her wearing Elizabeth Lau’s designs. The second clothing photos will be on the ASOS marketplace website soon and the photographs of Elizabeth’d designs will be on her online shop when it launches. I really enjoyed this day shooting with the model, I loved talking to her about her experiences within the industry and got me really excited about my future working with more models on shoots.
