WEEK 3

Week 3 was similar to my second week working with Elizabeth Lau. I continued editing photos for the blog posts and looking for models for upcoming photoshoots. One Wednesday the one for the vintage and second hand clothing and Tuesday I am casting models for a possible shoot for motifs for T-shirt designs. This week I also met another intern working for Elizabeth, Tracy. Together we did a mini street style shoot, showcasing one of Elizabeths A/W 2012 designs. Then editing them in photoshop creating interesting layouts for the blog post, using different techniques such as mirroring and illustration on top of the images. On the day that Tracy was in we also did a mini shoot with Elizabeths Blythe doll, for which she has made tiny versions of her designs. The idea of the shoot is the Blythe doll wearing the designs in London landmarks, as Elizabeth’s designs are largely influenced by London quirky-ness. Because the weather was so bad all week, we were unable to do the full shoot because of the rain instead we did a trial at Baker Street tube station. When the weather is good I hope to spend the whole day continuing this shoot. This week Elizabeth’s prototypes for her Elizabeth Lau loves ASOS collection arrived from the manufacturers. I photographed each item and then on photoshop had to draw on the images the changes Elizabeth wants the manufacturers to make and to show ASOS when we go on Tuesday.I am very excited for this week with Elizabeth, as I get the opportunity to go to the ASOS offices with her and photograph the process of her collection for them. I am also excited to do my first casting and the styling shoot on Wednesday! It will be a busy week from which I am sure I am will learn a lot!
